These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by ESCOFFERY AUTOPORT LOGISTICS LIMITED (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By using our shipping, delivery, freight forwarding, package handling, or related logistics services, customers (“the Customer”, “you”, or “your”) agree to the following terms.

1. Services Provided

ESCOFFERY AUTOPORT LOGISTICS LIMITED provides international and local logistics services including but not limited to:

  • Package forwarding

  • Freight handling

  • Air and sea shipping

  • Local delivery services

  • Customs coordination

  • Warehouse handling and processing

  • Package consolidation

All services are subject to availability and operational conditions.

2. Shipping Rates & Charges

  • Shipping charges are calculated based on package weight, dimensions, destination, and service type.

  • Current standard rate is subject to change without prior notice.

  • Additional charges may apply for:

    • Oversized or overweight packages

    • Remote area deliveries

    • Customs duties and taxes

    • Special handling requests

    • Storage fees

    • Re-delivery attempts

All balances must be paid in full before packages are released unless otherwise agreed by the Company.

3. Delivery Terms

  • Same-day delivery may be available for packages scheduled before 12:00 PM within Kingston & St. Andrew.

  • Deliveries outside of Kingston & St. Andrew or after the stated cutoff time may be completed the following business day.

  • Delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

  • Delays caused by weather conditions, customs inspections, airline/shipping delays, traffic, natural disasters, strikes, or circumstances beyond our control are not the responsibility of the Company.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate shipping and contact information

  • Ensure all package contents comply with Jamaican laws and international shipping regulations

  • Declare package contents honestly and accurately

  • Pay all applicable shipping, customs, storage, and delivery fees

  • Collect packages within the specified collection period

The Company reserves the right to refuse service for packages containing prohibited, illegal, dangerous, or restricted items.

5. Prohibited Items

Customers are prohibited from shipping:

  • Illegal drugs or substances

  • Firearms or weapons

  • Explosives or hazardous materials

  • Perishable goods without prior approval

  • Counterfeit items

  • Stolen goods

  • Flammable materials

  • Any item prohibited by Jamaican or international law

If prohibited items are discovered, the Company reserves the right to report the matter to the relevant authorities.

6. Package Inspection

The Company reserves the right to inspect, open, or verify package contents when necessary for security, customs, compliance, or operational purposes.

7. Customs & Duties

  • Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and government charges.

  • Customs clearance timelines are controlled by the relevant authorities and are outside the Company’s control.

  • The Company is not responsible for packages seized, delayed, or rejected by customs.

8. Storage Policy

  • Packages not collected within 7 days of notification may attract storage fees.

  • Packages left uncollected for an extended period may be considered abandoned.

  • The Company reserves the right to dispose of abandoned packages in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Loss, Damage & Liability

  • The Company will exercise reasonable care in handling all packages.

  • The Company is not liable for:

    • Manufacturer defects

    • Improper packaging by merchants or suppliers

    • Delays outside our control

    • Indirect or consequential losses

    • Losses due to incorrect customer information

  • Claims for lost or damaged items must be submitted within 48 hours of package receipt.

  • Compensation, where applicable, shall not exceed the declared value of the package or the shipping fee paid, whichever is lower, unless insurance coverage was purchased.

10. Insurance

Insurance coverage is optional unless otherwise stated. Customers are encouraged to insure valuable packages. The Company is not responsible for uninsured losses.

11. Refund Policy

  • Shipping and processing fees are generally non-refundable once services have commenced.

  • Refunds, where approved, will be processed at the Company’s discretion.

12. Communication

The Company may contact customers through:

  • Phone calls

  • WhatsApp

  • Email

  • SMS messaging

  • Social media platforms

Customers are responsible for ensuring their contact information remains current.

13. Privacy

Customer information will be used strictly for operational, shipping, and communication purposes. The Company will not intentionally share customer information with unauthorized third parties except where required by law.

14. Refusal of Service

The Company reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service

  • Cancel shipments

  • Hold packages

  • Deny delivery

where a Customer violates these Terms & Conditions or engages in suspicious, abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activities.

15. Amendments

ESCOFFERY AUTOPORT LOGISTICS LIMITED reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
